Worked examples

How the result is produced

Date-only values are normalized for stable daily subtraction so daylight-saving transitions do not produce a 23- or 25-hour rounding error.

• Elapsed days = end date − start date
• Inclusive dates = elapsed days + 1 for a valid forward range
• The tool does not remove weekends or holidays

Understand the weekday total

Fieldlet also reports Monday-through-Friday dates inside the selected range. That secondary figure excludes ordinary weekends only; it is not a business-day promise because local holidays, closures, and work schedules are not included.

• Use elapsed mode for boundaries crossed.
• Use inclusive mode when both named dates count.
